What is the Jump-A-Thon??

As you may have noticed our school funding and economy for that matter, has fallen over the past year. Our PE program is in desperate need of some new equipment. We have decided that the best way to continue a great tradition of physical education is to ask for your help. That is what the Jump-A-Thon is all about raising money for the PE program through flat donations made to your children for jumping.

We are looking to buy some critical pieces of equipment this year and your generous donations will help us to reach our goals. Since we are taking a year off from Jump Rope for Heart this year we would like to give a percentage of our earnings to this wonderful organization and we hope to be working with them once again next year.

Below is a list of needed PE equipment that we are looking to purchase:

• Replacement rocks for the rock wall
• New rock wall accessories and games
• New equipment holders/ bins
• Playground balls such as: basketballs, soccer balls, four square balls & tetherballs
• Resistance bands
• Replacement scooters
• Replacement bowling pins
• Speed Stacks (Cup stacking)
• Gator balls
• Classroom set of pedometers
• Reaction balls
• New stopwatches
• Volleyballs (we have never had them)
• Update hockey sticks and pucks
• Gym floor tape
• Replacement mats
• Wedge mat

This is obviously the ideal wish list and some items may have to wait such as new mats because they are over a $1000.00 a piece, but every donation helps and goes directly to benefiting your child in Physical Education.
